Literature Text
Her silver
moonlit hair sparkles,
under her element.
Her crystal blue eyes
shine,
brighter than the moon.
The dress flows
when she dances,
with her snow white horses.
Daughter of Hyperion
Titan,
a Sun-God.
Mothered by
Theia,
Goddess of Brightness.
Her magic dances
with her,
as Hecate taught her well.
She is a lunar goddess
Selene,
one of the three lunar daughters.
moonlit hair sparkles,
under her element.
Her crystal blue eyes

brighter than the moon.
The dress flows

Hecate
To crossroads come
In darkness call
With magic far and wide
I am the goddess of them all
My two hounds by my side
See me not
In darkest night
No moonshine overhead
Come to me
I call to thee
The living and the dead

A PRAYER TO ARTEMIS
Maiden Midwife, Goddess of Birth
and Nurturing, Lady who eases forth
safe deliveries, beloved Artemis,
please hear my prayer tonight.
Full of Flame and Faith, Tears and
Trust, I call upon you to ease open
the Womb of Creation without pain,
without exhausting life, in those
creatures who are in dear need of
your healing hands upon their preg-
nant belly, soothing their delivery,
guiding them into the lush light
of safety, please let yourself be
known to them, let them be comforted
by your presence, let them find
cool relief from birthing pains
under your protective shade, fill
them with care and calm, fill them
with the pure

Sorry I am just in love with this poem... why because I love not only Greek Mythology but I love the crescent moon. So I just love Selene she is my all time favorite character in Greek Mythology but if you all didn't know she isn't considered a Greek Goddess she is considered a Titan goddess. Though I just read something interesting on her mythology saying not only is she the Goddess of the Moon she is one of the lunar goddess as there were two more; Hecta and Artemis (lunar sisters) so you may see a short story come out but enjoy as I played around with the structure a little bit and tried not to use "as" as much lol.
